How to Grow Closer to God

Maybe you rarely think about God. Perhaps you aren’t sure—deep down, in the dark times—he is there. Or, you believe there must be a God, but you can’t imagine he cares about you very much.

It could be you go to church, and even pray a bit while you’re there. But, come Monday morning, you’re back in the real world, and any thoughts of God are set aside until the following Sunday.

However you see God, you have a point of view you use to make sense of the world. Even if you are not aware of it, you do, and it affects how you think and the choices you make.

As part of that worldview, doesn’t it make sense to think about how to grow closer to God?

Because he is there. That is a fact; the question is what you are going to do about it. Whether you realize it or not, God loves you. He designed you in a special way, and he is there for you.
