This is your life story.
But I’m not going to write it all out for you. This is just an outline, a rough script for your role in the saga that is your life. It will be up to you to choose the parts that fit and fill in the gaps of the outline so that this becomes your story.
In this story, there is drama, because there are problems and dangers to face. And there is a hero―you! But there is a guide who can help you. He has a plan, and he is calling you to action.
Spoiler alert, but I’ll give you a sneak peek at the end: You can learn to deal with the problems you are facing, and you can have a happy and satisfied life. But, to fully understand your role―to live life to the fullest―you need to know the Why, the What, and the How of writing your life story.
The WHY – Writing Your Life Story
Why is there tension and drama in your life? Why do you sense that something is missing?
You want more out of life than what you now have.
- Peace
- Joy
- Purpose
Your personal problems and bad choices get in the way.
- Anxiety, insecurity, loneliness, resentment, addiction
- Insignificance, hopelessness, depression, pride, shame
- Lack of purpose, unclear direction, busy-ness, selfishness, low self-control
The What – Writing Your Life Story
What could you learn to make life better? What things would help you build the life you want?
Your life is a story, and you have a your role to play.
Life is a journey. Seek the right direction using God as your guide. Make wise choices and seek the next right step.
You can learn to live a healthy, integrated lifestyle.
Acquire resilience to enhance your Emotional Well-Being
- Develop your self-awareness
- Let go your fixation on control
- Establish a healthy self-image
- Persevere and learn from trials
- Connect to and serve others
Achieve wholeness by developing your Spiritual Wisdom
- Believe that God is good and in charge of all things
- Establish a personal relationship with Him
- Accept both God’s grace and His truth
- Yield to God’s promptings in your life
- Follow the wisdom in the Bible
Become intentional to achieve Personal Excellence
- Seek purpose
- Establish a plan
- Have good habits
- Practice self-discipline
- Do your best, 1 thing at a time
The How – Writing Your Life Story
How do you improve your life? How can you move forward, perhaps starting today?
You need practical daily STEPS to help you get there.
- Surrender – Surrender your will to God and make choices based on faith and courage.
- Transformation – Humbly admit your mistakes and make positive changes in your life.
- Empathy – Seek forgiveness and invest in good relationships.
- Progress – Spend time every day in prayer and meditation.
- Service – Serve as an example and add value to the lives of others.
There is only one supernatural way to change your life story.
- You will face trials, tough circumstances, and perhaps addictions.
- But there is hope, and you can have a happy and satisfied life.
- Your life is a story, and you are in the middle of it now.
- There is an Author who wrote and directs that drama.
- You have the freedom to create your own role to play if you want.
- If you follow the Author’s script for you, your life will change forever.
- The dramatic climax of the story can be whenever you choose it to be.
- When you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
You now know the Why, the What, and the How of writing your life story. The questions left for you to answer are If you will agree to play your role, and When you will begin.
