I’m thankful for the hard times my family went through. Trials create fear, but they can lead to transformation and hope.
Those painful experiences gave me a special connection with parents of teenagers who are struggling. Because I’ve been there. I understand the weight of their desperation, and I’m uplifted by their love, faith, and commitment.
Here are some real-life “STEPS Stories” for which I am grateful …
Cathy and Bob had a son who was abusing drugs. They were dealing with every parent’s nightmare but felt better learning they’re not alone and there are things that can help. They were thankful to find help, healing, and hope.
Don and Christy had a daughter with anxiety who was abusing pills, and they feared their younger son had tried them. But now they say: “STEPS has been a blessing. We love what they are doing to help hurting families.”
Michael and Susan and hundreds of parents at our seminars are thankful: “We were encouraged to embrace our calling as parents, while feeling freed from perfection.” And, “This is the beginning of the spread of a powerful, wonderful message.”
Other parents have shared their heartfelt comments with us such as:
“The information on how to parent in such a way as to hopefully help prevent our children from going down the path of addiction was extremely helpful!”
“We were encouraged that though we’re not perfect parents, we still have the capacity to raise good and Godly children.”
“STEPS Ministries has been a lifeline for our family, providing valuable guidance and support during challenging times.”
I’m thankful my family made it through those trials. That they changed us for the better. But mostly that God was with us even in the darkest times, and he used them to do some of his best work.
And now, every day, I am thankful STEPS can help other families.
