HOW CAN I LESSEN CLUTTER IN MY LIFE AND FIND CONTENTMENT?

People are busy these days, and the noise and clutter in our lives create anxiety. It’s like we’re running in place rather than getting anywhere.

This leads to an uneasy sense of dissatisfaction unless we choose to do something about it. But there’s good news, because we can find more contentment if we focus on things that are important and ignore the rest. We can lessen the noise in our lives if we actively take things OFF our to-do list and live more purposefully one step at a time. 

Ignore the noise and take next right steps to live intentionally

1. Select what’s NEXT and ignore distracting clutter

Your brain works most effectively on one thing at a time. Periodically, think of one project and then one step you could take in that area. Work on that task and contentedly let other things wait. Keep turning off the outside noise and have peace focusing on one thing at a time.

2. Determine what is RIGHT and what is important

Be a good steward of your time. Focus on important projects and let less-critical tasks wait, or don’t do them at all! Include your emotional, spiritual, and personal wellness as an area of focus. When choices offer a right versus wrong answer, pick what’s right and move on.  

3. Keep taking small STEPS to establish momentum

One of the best ways to transform your life for the better is to keep taking small steps in the right direction. This orients you toward positive action that helps you make progress and create momentum. Live life better one step at a time, and you will feel less anxiety in the process.
